In miniatures we trust.
I'd love to build your memories accurately to scale, down to the tiniest detail. Maybe a home, or the place where you got married - whatever you desire.
Creativity drives me to constantly make beautiful little objects. This is a selection of those unique pieces currently for sale.
I'm always happy to participate in larger or smaller scale productions - and I'm able to help you find solutions for any problem.
A few years ago I started AND Miniature, to make artworks inspired by people's' memories of places and people, both in space and time. It can be a childhood family home, grandma's garden, or the beach on which you've gotten married. The idea behind these pieces is that they become something like a materialised memory, a dream come to life.
Sometimes I just makes one piece of something, and that is it. It remains unique, an experience to be cherished by both the creator and the beholder.
Some of my work has been featured in documentaries, such as 'De Zomer Van '69 ', about a victorious Eddy Merckx.
A series of 3 waves, all with different shapes of water, surfers and movement. A light is always included, making all that lurks underwater visible.
Escaping from reality and feeling one with nature, this series of several trees and the people living in them is one of my personal favorites.
A series of 5 scenes during the Tour De France of 1969. A miniature Eddy Merckx and vehicle are included and snap into place by magnets.
Miniatures have been used in films since a long time, and continue to play an important role now - even in the age of big budgets and CGI: There's something about real life miniatures that simply can't be replaced by any other medium. I love to be part of productions that move people, big or small.
My grandfather never let me play with his miniature models. AND doesn't believe in that attitude: we should all play, young or old, big or small. I strive to include movable parts in my models like cars, lights and cyclists - and attach them with magnets, so you can easily detach and reattach them.
